On the opposite end of the spectrum from yesterday’s Transformers cake, we have a very girlie cake for Anna’s first birthday.

This Optimus Prime cake was made for Marte Jr.’s 4th birthday party, which had a Transformers theme.  The photo at bottom right gives some perspective on how big this thing was!  (Chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream.)

For a class I was in, we had to create a cake of our own design.  There’s no real cake in here (it’s styrofoam), because it was completed over several weeks of class, but the fondant and gum paste flowers are real.
